Coaching is an engagement that involves exploring the answers within the client.  The agenda is the client’s and bringing out the best in him/her.  Coaching can be done in a team environment.
Consulting is more about the personal expertise of the consultant where he or she will teach or perform that expertise.  Engagements may be a combination of both.  
If you do not believe you are worth it, why would anyone else?  It is important to be the number one advocate for yourself.  Think about what you might tell a friend or colleague.  Do you give that much grace to yourself?  Consider those who are watching you … your children, your peers, your family, your friends,  and your teams.  Model for them that it is important to invest in yourself.
Planning can be hard.  It involves truly defining your goals and breaking them down into manageable steps.   Many clients find it invaluable to have an expert step in to manage the way and hold accountability with the client.
Looking to the future helps to put this question into perspective.   Think about what life may look like 3 or 5 years from now.  How might it look if you really invested in the time right now?  Can you afford not to?  That being said, coaching requires a commitment of your time and you need to be ready to make that investment.
